WBC Super Bantamweight Title Bout (12 Rds)

Toshiaki Nishioka (35-4-3, 22 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:15, 5th rd over Balweg Bangoyan (15-0, 6 KOs) -

In the fourth round, Bangoyan penalized a point for low blows. In the fifth round, Bangoyan went down from a

straight left (up at the count of five). The fight resumed and Nishioka pounced on Bangoyan who was just

trying to tie up and hang on but Nishioka continued landing punches which caused the ref to step in and

stop the bout. Nishioka retains title.

 

WBC Bantamweight Title Bout (12 Rds)

Fernando Montiel (40-2-2, 30 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:59, 4th rd over Hozumi Hasegawa (28-2, 12 KOs)

In the fourth round, with less than 10 seconds left, Montiel connected with a left hook that doubled

Hasegawa, sending him back towards the ropes. Montiel immediately followed up with a straight right. And

as Hasegawa was trying to clinch, Montiel separated and landed two hard left hooks that put Hasegawa

against the ropes. As Hasegawa was against the ropes, he was holding onto the ropes with his left glove as

Montiel preceded to hammer Hasegawa with punches until the ref stepped in and stopped the bout. Montiel

wins title from Hasegawa.
