The Next In A Line of Successful Events: The Battle Of Arnhem 2005 October 2, 2005 Rijnhal, Arnhem The Netherlands
- Special Thanks go out to Jerome L.M. Winters for the following information:
It is a simple but perfect recipe: look for the most talented and spectacular fighters in a region (in this case: the eastern part of Holland) and match with equally gifted opponents. The result: a spectacular and entertaining kickboxing event, respectfully named after the heroic battle that was fought in the second World War in 1944. The Battle of Arnhem now takes place for the fourth time, in the inspiring surroundings of the Rijnhal in Arnhem.
The 2005 event is organized by MAC Promotions and sanctioned by the popular and steadily growing international World Full Contact Association WFCA.
The line up: - spectacular ladies fight between Blond Beauty Krista Fleming, who fights in her hometown against Mabilla Elatinaoui.
- The immensely popular, manifold world champion Perry Ubeda fights a full contact match (no low kicks) against the French champion Christophe Tamarin. Ubeda, who lives in Nijmegen, close to Arnhem, always guarantees beautiful kicks and punches; but the same goes for the young and talented Tamarin…
- Two young, very promising fighters will meet for a doubtless fast and furious fight. Jimmy Eimers from nearby Zutphen faces the tough Aizdin Azazian.
- As Eimers and Azazian are young, Jan Wessels and Peter Verschuren are their opposite: 40 and 39 year old veterans. Oldies, but goodies: both have been fighting for years, have won numerous international and even world titles and are still in excellent shape. So, with a lot of respect for the opponent, there still is no love lost between these warriors...
- There are more spectacular fights in the program, like Pascal Brinkman, experienced and strong, fights hard punching and kicking Youssef Azagouag. But also hard man Donald Berner against the young but experienced Henry Akdeniz, both manifold champions but eager to win this particular fight, because there is no less than a European title of the WFCA at stake!!!
- Another fight to look forward to is of Faldir Chahbari versus Ali Gunyar. Both are at the brink of breaking through in the international K-1 Max events in Japan. And both know very well, that this one fight, which undoubtedly internationally will be televised, might make a lot of difference…
Then, the heavy boys. Always appreciated for their strength and power and the many violent KO’s. Two fights, one with a European and one with a world title to win!
- The strong and technical fighter Rob Hanneman will face the “Turkish Lion” Gurhan Degirmenci for the WFCA European Title. Two fighters that are immensely strong and powerful and have scored numerous knockouts. There is no doubt, that this fight will be very violent and won’t last the distance!
- A world title, no less, for the winner of the much anticipated match between Brecht Wallis and Alexander Ustinov. A match of giants, in size as well as results: the Belgian Wallis is winner of the K-1 Grand Prix Scandinavia 2004 and the Russian of the K-1 Grand Prix of Spain, 2004! Both fighters are aiming for a final breakthrough to the ranks of the K-1 fighters that regularly fight in the K-1 events in Japan. And they know very well, that winning the WFCA-title brings them much closer to achieving this goal…
In all, this will undoubtedly be a spectacular and very entertaining fight evening, with ‘old fashioned’ low prices for tickets: from 28 euro!
