How Life Treats Us...
By Al Nava
In case anyone's been wondering why our tv. shows carries more news than the website, it’s basically because our Web site was only a secondary source of news to our T.V. Show.
That's all about to change. We are in the process of streaming an entire show for the web. We’re just working out the download speeds. So lets get to talking about Martial Arts.
If you didn’t see the Tyson vs. Lewis fight or even if you did, you are probably hearing by now that it had to be worked (fixed).
Tyson didn’t throw punches like he usually does and Lewis seemed to just have Tyson’s number. I don’t believe it was WORKED because sometimes things don’t go the way you think they should go. I’ve seen it many times not only in boxing but in cage fights, jiu-jitsu tournaments, and kick- boxing matches.
Besides, Tyson went on record stating that he needed at least two more fights before he fought Lewis. Why then did he fight Lewis even though he wasn’t ready?
Money. Lots of it.
He even thanked Lewis after the fight for the Great Pay day. Life is Good.
What’s next for Tyson?
After his performance, I would hope it would be retirement. I don’t want to see any fighter get hurt. He just didn’t seem to have the Fighting Spirit. If he wants to continue, I suggest he work out whatever differences he had with his former trainers Kevin Rooney or Teddy Atlas. I think either of those two guys can get him were he needs to be for one last try at the championship.
And if that reason doesn’t work for you then remember that these are two highly skilled opponents and they’re not at that level for nothing. In my book, either one can knock each other out...and one of them did.
Speaking of which, the Barrera/Morales fight lived up to the first fight between the two (Incredible) with the opposite results. The first encounter between the two saw Morales win a decision even though mostly everyone who saw the fight gave it to Barrera. Now, last Saturday, Barrera wins a decision even though most thought Morales won. I had it a draw. I say lets see #3 to end all controversy.
On a more serious note, T.F.G would like to send our most deepest get well thoughts to Mark Coleman. We hope your neck and back are O.K. We wish you a fast and complete recovery.
Talk to you after the fights, Al
