SALEM, New Hampshire (July 31, 2009) – Veteran Doug “Flash” Gordon (10-7-0) stunned local favorite

Nate “The Future” Lamotte (10-5-0), of Manchester (NH), to win the main event last night in American Steel

Cagefighting’s (ASC) inaugural mixed martial arts show at the Icenter in Salem, New Hampshire.

Lamotte tapped out at 2:01 of the first round, when Gordon locked in a guillotine choke. “I didn’t really set it

up,” Gordon remarked. “He just gave it to me. It was a good fight, though. He was strong but I had such a

will. I came back strong.”

In the co-main event, New York lightweight Pat Audinwood (8-0-0) remained unbeaten, using a triangle

choke to force veteran “Mr. Big” Al Buck (6-8-0),  former Cage Fury Fighting champion, into submission in

the opening round. “It was awesome,” Audinwood said. “I want to thank Al Buck. It’s tough getting good

opponents like him.”

Veteran Kevin “The Shaman” Jordan (12-8-0) won the first two rounds and held on for a win by decision in

the “Super Fight” against strong-closing puncher, UFC1 pioneer fighter Patrick “The Headhunter” Smith (16-

14-0). “I won the first two rounds but in the third he came on,” Jordon explained after the fight. “All respect to

Patrick Smith. He’s a pioneer.”

ASC returns September 11, headlined by Methuen (MA) lightweight prospect Calvin Kattar (7-1-0) against

New York invader Andrew Montanez (7-9-1), for the NABC title at the Icenter, where tickets are now on
