ZST Grand Prix Tournament: Opening Round

ZST starts its 16 man (less than 154 lbs.) tournament on November 23, 2003 in Japan.  Jason Maxwell,

who may be best remembered for his knock out of former UFC champ Jens Pulver at AFC 3 back in May of

this year,  is scheduled to participate in the event. ZST has rules based on the former RINGS events.  The

tournament will conclude (semi-final and final) on January 11, 2004. 

 

The winner of the tournament will receive $5,000,000 yen ($45,634.79 as of today's exchange rate), second

place will receive $1,500, 000 yen ($16,689.34 as of today's exchange rate) and third place will receive

$700,000 yen ($6,388.36 as of today's exchange rate).
