May 5, 2004

Tokyo, Japan

ZST has added three bouts to their May 5th card. Kyokushin karate 2001 World Cup 2 lightweight champion

Takahiro Miyano will make his debut in ZST when he takes on Shooto Lithuania veteran Darius

Skliaudys. Next, ZST veteran Takefumi Hanai will take on DEEP\Pancrase veteran Shinya Sato. And

Shooto veteran Masahiro "Jackal" Ohishi will face ZST veteran and recent Shooto Lithuania winner

Takahiro Uchiyama.

In the co-main event, ZST Grand Prix semi-finalist Remigijus Morkevicius, coming off a knock out win over

Takahiro Uchiyama at ZST GT-F on March 7th, will face ZST veteran Hideo Tokoro in a rematch. The first

meeting between these two took place at ZST 3 (June, 1, 2003) where Morkevicius defeated Tokoro by

knockout from a knee at 1:45 of the first round. Tokoro participated in the ZST Grand Prix tournament final in

January (2004) and lost in his opening bout to Taisho via knock out at 53 seconds of the first round.

The main event puts American Top Team member and ZST Grand Prix winner Marcus Aurelio against ZST

veteran Naoyuki Kotani. Aurelio won the ZST GP tournament by defeating Rich Clementi by first round

TKO (ref stoppage) in the final. Kotani is coming off a loss to Clementi via decision in his opening bout at

the ZST Grand Prix tournament final. (ZST GP Results)
