Fight (preliminary) - Welterweight Bout
Karo Parisyan wins a split decision over Nick Diaz

Rd 1 - Parisyan had the upper hand on the ground game as he slammed Diaz twice and was the aggressor

for most of the round. Diaz showed good defense as he was able to block most of Parisyan's punches and

had the better stand-up.

 

Rd 2 - Both showed great ground skills - both went for submissions and both were able to counter - both

putting on a clinic on the ground game - Parisyan the aggressor on the ground - Diaz more active on top -

Parisyan scores the nod probably because of more take downs and he was more aggressive on the ground.

 

 

Fight 1 - Heavyweight Bout
Justin Eilers wins by knockout at 1:14 of the first round over Mike Kyle  

Both come out - Eilers comes out throwing jabs - Kyle delivers a knee - Eilers counters with a right cross -

both clinch - Kyle hits Eilers with a low knee - McCarthy (the ref) deducts a point for a low blow from Kyle.

Eilers hits Kyle with an overhand right- stuns Kyle - Eilers goes after Kyle - both fall to the ground and get

right back up - Short left by Eilers lands right on the jaw and knocks Kyle out while they were clinching -

Eilers wins by knockout

 

 

Fight 2 - Middleweight Bout

David Terrell wins by knockout at :25 of the first round over Matt Lindland 

Both come out and touch gloves - Terrell charges and nails Lindland with a left and knocks Lindland to the

floor - Lindland is on his back - Terrell is in his guard - Terrell hits Lindland with a right, left, then another

right and knocks Lindland out from Lindland's own guard. Terrell winner by knockout.

 

 

Fight (preliminary) - Lightweight Bout
Yves Edwards wins by knockout at 4:32 of the first round over Josh Thomson 

At the end of the round, Edwards delivers a high Thai kick as Thomson tries to deliver a spinning back-fist -

Edwards connected with the Thai kick to the neck - Thomson didn't connect with the back-fist - as Thomson

is on his back, Edwards comes in and finishes him off with punches to the face but Thomson was already

out - Thomson was winning the fight up until the Thai kick - Edwards wins by knockout.

 

 

Fight 3 - Light Heavyweight Bout 
Chuck Liddell wins by knockout at 4:05 of the first round over Vernon "Tiger" White  

Both come out - Liddell tries an overhand right and misses - Liddell punching - Tiger counter punching - both

go to the ground - Chuck pulls away and they both get up - Tiger lands an overhand right - Liddell delivers two

straight rights - Tiger on his knees - Tiger goes to his back - Liddell trying to land - Tiger covering up well -

Tiger looks stunned - Tiger on all fours - Liddell moves back - Both are standing-up -  Tiger lands a sweeping

kick - Liddell lands a punch - Tiger on all fours - Liddell punching but Tiger is covering well - Tiger gets back

up - Tiger lands a right and left to Liddell's face - Liddell is stunned - Tiger rushes in as Liddell throws a

straight right (lands on temple and eye area) and knocks Tiger out - A lot of action between the two - back

and forth.

 

 

Fight 4 - Middleweight Bout
Joe Riggs wins by submission (strikes) at 2:39 of the second round over Joe Doerksen 

Both come out - touch gloves - Doerksen delivers a low blow - Doerksen apologizes - Riggs throws a kick -

Doerksen takes him down - Doerksen in Riggs Guard - Doerksen lifts Riggs up - both standing - Doerksen

takes Riggs down again - Doerksen in Riggs guard - Doerksen looks like he goes for an oma plata but Riggs

pulls out and stands-up - Riggs goes down and tries to land a couple of straight rights on Doerksen who's on

the ground -  both stand - Riggs takes down Doerksen - While on the ground Riggs pulls out and stands-up -

Riggs tries to land a right hand on  Doerksen while  Doerksen is on the ground -  Doerksen is on his back

attempting a coupe of moves - Riggs stands back up - Ref stands Doerksen up - Both go to the floor as the

bell rings.

 

Rd 2 -  Doerksen comes out and delivers another low blow right to the cup - They start again -  Riggs comes

in with a left, right - they clinch -  Riggs tries to pull Doerksen down but Doerksen pulls guard - Riggs

slams Doerksen (lightly) from the guard position - Both on the ground - Doerksen is trying to sweep Riggs -

Riggs delivers a right to Doerksen face -  Doerksen, from the bottom, answers with his own right to Riggs'

face - Doerksen attempts a triangle/arm bar but Riggs pulls away - Riggs delivers a right and a left - Riggs

delivers a good elbow - Riggs has a side mount - Doerksen pulls Riggs into his guard - Riggs lands an elbow

that cuts Doerksen - Riggs hits Doerksen with a couple of lefts -  Doerksen is stunned - Riggs grounds and

pounds and Doerksen taps. Big cut over Doerksen right eye-brow.

 

 

Fight 5 - Welterweight Bout 
Chris Lytle wins by submission (guillotine choke) at 1:17 of the second round over Ronald Jhun 

Both come out - touch gloves - both circling - both exchanged strikes - Lytle lands a right that sends Jhun

down - Lytle follows him down and Jhun pulls guard - both scrambling on the ground - Lytle on top - Jhun

gets Lytle in half-guard - Lytle trying to get out of Jhun's guard - Lytle pulled out and tries to go to side mount

- Jhun pulls Lytle into his full guard - Lytle trying to deliver blows but Jhun blocking most of them - ref stands

them up - Jhun comes in with a right, left but Lytle goes for a guillotine - Lytle gets Jhun in a loose guillotine,

takes him down and lands on top - Jhun is able to pull out and get full guard as the round ends .

 

Rd 2 - Both come out and exchange blows - they clinch - Lytle takes Jhun down - They get back up - Jhun

pushes Lytle against the cage - Lytle gets a guillotine and rolls Jhun over - Jhun rolls Lytle over to his back -

Lytle holds onto the guillotine - Jhun has to tap.

 

 

Fight 6 - Light Heavyweight Title Bout

Randy Couture wins by third round TKO (cut) over Vitor Belfort - Doc stops fight after third round

(ISP problems) - Couture on top - Nothing major happened in the first round - Couture took Belfort down -

Belfort was able to pull guard after a short time 

 

Rd 2 - Couture closes the gap - Couture has Belfort against the cage - Couture trying for a double leg -

Belfort defending well - Belfort pulls Couture up - Couture pressing the fight - Couture delivering short

punches - Couture finally takes him down - Belfort sitting up against the cage - Couture picking his punches 

- Belfort trying to move but Couture is controlling him - Ref stops the fight to check a cut on Belfort's eye -

Belfort looks tired - cut was due to unintentional head-butt - starting again in same position against the cage

- Belfort goes for an arm bar but Couture is barely able to get away - round ends

 

Rd 3 - (Couture looks the fresher of the two) - Belfort throws a left and misses - Couture takes him down -

Belfort sitting against the cage - Couture throwing small punches - Belfort goes to his back - Couture landing

some short punches - Belfort goes for an arm bar - Couture escapes again - as they scramble, Couture puts

Belfort up against the cage again - Couture delivering some short elbows to Belfort's face - Couture playing a

safe game with short punches and elbows to the face of Belfort - Couture landing the short punches -

Belfort's eye looks really bad - Couture landing the short elbows to Belfort's eye - Belfort tries to sweep but

Couture keeps his balance - as the round ends, Belfort goes for another arm bar - Belfort is sitting down

against the cage as they work on his eye between rounds.

 

Doc stops the fight after examining Belfort's eye after the third round ended - Couture winner by

third round TKO and captures the light heavyweight title once again

 

- Couture calls out Wanderlei Silva and says let's unify the titles

- Silva goes up into the cage

- Silva says it's a great honor to fight Couture and he's ready to fight whenever he wants
