Fight 1 - Heavyweight Bout

Mike Kyle wins by first round knockout over Wes Sims 

(Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman in Sims corner) - Both come out and touch gloves - Sims throws a

high kick that misses - Kyle comes in for a single leg but can't take him down - both clinch against the cage

- Kyle does a foot stomp and Sims returns one himself - Sims has a guillotine but with his arm in - Sims falls

back with the guillotine but Kyle gets out - Sims goes for a triangle with his arms but Kyle pulled out of it - 

Again, Sims goes for a triangle with his arms - Kyle again pulls out of it - Kyle punching to the body and face

of Sims - Kyle covering nose and mouth of Sims - Sims looked like he panicked a little - Kyle still punching

to the body and the face - Kyle going for a box choke but no luck - Ref stands them up - Sims looks tired -

Kyle delivers knees - Sims out - Kyle wins with one second left - Sims knocked out by two right hands -

BITE marks on left chest of Sims!! - Sims was waving when he got bit to stop the fight on the replay - Sims

up and walking around and does have a bite mark and Sims complaining that he got bit! - Kyle announced

the winner - Kyle said he didn't bite him - that he had his mouth opened when he was getting choked

 

 

Fight 2  - Welterweight Bout 

Nick Diaz wins by knockout at 1:31 of the second round over Robbie Lawler  

(Pat Miletich, Jeremy Horn and Matt Hughes walking Lawler out) Both come out and Diaz tries a side kick

and misses - Lawler circling - Diaz lands an overtop right  that send Lawler down but he gets right back up -

Diaz holding his hands low - Diaz delivers a knee - no damage - Diaz taunting Lawler to come on - Diaz

lands another right - Lawlers in trouble - Diaz pushing the fight - lands right and left - holding Lawler against

the cage - using his shoulder to hit Lawler - Diaz knees Lawler thighs against the cage - Diaz pushes away -

Lawler now lands a right and a left and a jumping knee - Diaz okay - Diaz nose is bleeding - Diaz lands to

rights as Lawler counters back - Diaz lands left Thai kick to Lawlers thigh - Bell rings as Lawler lets a punch

go - no damage 

 

RD 2 - Diaz starts by throwing low Thai kick - Lawler thinks its low - Diaz backing up Lawler - Kicks to

Lawlers thigh again - Lawler lands a couple of lefts - no damage - Lawler lands a good uppercut top the body

- Diaz still coming forward - Diaz lands a right and knocks Lawler out - a straight right - ref stops the bout - 

Lawler gets back up and is saying that he is not out but to no avail - Lawler goes and congratulates Diaz

Lawler being interviewed and made no excuses - said he got caught and props to Diaz

 

 

Fight 3 - Heavyweight Bout 

Andrei Arlovski wins by TKO at 1:15 of the second round over Wesley “Cabbage” Correira  

(BJ Penn in Correira's corner) Both come out - touch gloves - Arloski goes for an inside thigh Thai kick -

Cabbage blocks - Arloski throws a right - Cabbage blocks - Cabbage lands a left to the face - no damage -

Arloski lands a right - Cabbage looks like "no big deal" - both circling - Arloski throws a right - Cabbage

blocks - Arloski comes in with rights and lefts - Cabbage smiles - Arloski lands a right - Cabbage to one

knee quickly but gets right back up - Arloski lands two right and an uppercut and another right but Cabbage

battles back - Both in center of ring - Cabbage lands right Thai kick to Arloski - Arloski lands a right and an

uppercut and a left kick - Arloski slips and Cabbage try's to land a knee but misses - Arloski comes back

throwing punches - Both circling in the ring - Arloski lands a straight right jab as the round ends (Cabbage's

ear is bleeding a little - no big deal)

 

RD 2 - Both come out and circle - still circling - Arloski comes in with a right and a left and uppercuts -

Arloski pushes Cabbage against the cage but Cabbage pushes off - Arloski puts down Cabbage with a right -

Cabbage gets back up but the ref stops the fight - Replay shows that when Cabbage went down, ref was

holding Arloski back so he wouldn't go after Cabbage - Cabbage a great sport and raises Arloski arm up

 

 

Fight 4  - Lightweight Bout 

Yves Edwards wins by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) over Hermes Franca 

(Herb Dean is the ref) Franca starts with a left and a right and misses - Both circling - Franca shoots and

takes Edwards down - Edwards gets butterfly guard - Franca re-positions and tries for a heel hook - no

success - Edwards lands some punches to Franca's head - Edwards is in the half-guard - Both stand-up -

Edwards lands left Thai kick - wobbles Franca's leg - Franca lands a low, inside Thai kick but no damage - 

Franca tries a high kick, slips and falls but gets right back up - Franca tries another high kick that lands on

Edwards gloves - Franca comes in and takes Edwards down - Franca is in Edwards open guard - Edwards

pushes up and gets up - Franca comes in again and takes Edwards down as the bell rings

 

RD 2 - Both come out - Franca throws a high kick but Edwards blocks - Edwards throws a right  kick and

Franca grabs it and takes him down - Franca is in Edwards full guard - Franca punches to the body and

head of Edwards - no damage - Franca jumps over one side and is now in half-guard - Edwards pushes away and rolls Franca - Edwards is now in Franca's full guard - Franca goes for a heel hook/knee bar - Franca

goes for a toe-hold - Edwards pulls away and is free - Edwards stands back up - Franca takes down

Edwards again - Franca goes for a heel hook - Both are fighting for a heel hook - Franca pulls out and climbs

on top of Edwards and goes to the side mount - Edwards is able to get back up - Edwards goes for a kick

and Franca grabs it as the bell rings 

 

RD 3 - Both touch gloves - Franca shoots but Edwards pulls away - Edwards kicks and Franca grabs it and

takes him down - Edwards has Franca in his guard - Franca lands a couple of punches to the face of

Edwards - Edwards tries for a Kimura fro the bottom but Franca reverses and tries an armbar that's not

successful - They stand - Franca looks tired - Franca shoots and misses - Franca then grabs Edwards and

falls back and has Edwards in his guard - Edwards pulls out and stands up - Edwards lands a short right -

Franca shoots for a single leg - Franca has the leg and pulls Edwards into his guard - Edwards pulls away

and stands up - Franca pulls Edwards down and Franca goes for a knee bar but Edwards lands a couple of

punches on Franca as the bell rings - goes to judges

 

 

Fight 5  - Welterweight Bout

Chris Lytle wins by second round submission (choke) over Tiki Ghosn  

Both come out - Lytle comes in with a right , left, then a kick - Both clinch  - Separate - Lytle delivers a good

Thai kick - Lytle gets Tiki's back - Tiki gets out of it and both are back on their feet - Tiki lands a good Thai

kick on Lytle - Tiki is blocking a lot - they clinch and both throw punches and then they separate - Tiki lands

another good Thai kick to the left leg of Lytle - Both exchange blows and separate - Lytle goes for a

takedown but Tiki counters and pushes Lytle to the cage - Both exchange punches against the cage - Tiki

lands a right elbow, then a right and a left - Lytle okay - Lytle delivers a low Thai kick as the bell (horn)

sounds

 

RD 2 - Both come out - Lytle comes in but Tiki blocks - Both clinch - Lytle tries to take Tiki down but Tiki

counters and both separate - Tike delivers a right, Lytle counters with a left - Lytle comes in with punches to

the face but Tiki blocks - Lytle finally able to take Tiki down - Lytle in Tiki's full guard -  Lytle re-positions to

side mount - Tiki buckles him off and goes to all fours and Lytle grabs a headlock choke - Tiki taps - It was

announced as a rear naked choke but it wasn't - It was like a school yard headlock but a choke (like Newton

tapping out Miletich only that Tiki was on all fours)

 

 

Fight 6  - Light Heavyweight Bout 

Chuck Liddell wins by knockout at :38 of the second round over Tito Ortiz  

(Boxer Fernando Vargas walked out with Ortiz) - (Tito threw out his beanie to the crowd and they threw it

back at him) - Both come out - Chuck comes in with a right that doesn't land - Tito looks a little tense - 

Crowd chanting "Tito, Tito" - Chuck throws a right to the body but Tito steps back to avoid it - Tito faints a

shoot - Chuck using his jab and lands a couple - Chuck throws a left, right but Tito blocks - Chuck lands a

left jab - Chuck throws a right and Tito turns away from it and it doesn't land - Both throw straight rights and

both barley miss - Tito goes for a takedown but Chuck just pushes him away - Tito lands a good right on

Chucks face - 1:05 to go - Both throw jabs but no damage - Chuck lands a straight left jab to Tito's face - 

Chuck comes in with a right and a left and lands a short left - Then lands a right high kick to Tito's elbow as

the bell rings - Tito says lets go, lets go!

 

RD 2 - Tito lands a Thai kick - Chuck comes in with a flurry of punches - Chuck lands a straight right that

puts Tito down and out - The ref steps in and takes Chuck off of Tito when he went down - Tito has two cuts -

underneath the right eye and a cut above his left eyebrow towards the nose.

Ortiz gave good props to Liddell in the post-fight interview - Said he wanted to kick Lee Murray's ass

because he been talking so much smack

 

 

Prelims: 

Lightweight Bout    

Genki Sudo wins by submission (arm bar from the triangle) at 3:31 of the first round over Mike Brown 

Both come out - Brown charges at Sudo and clinches - Has Sudo against the cage - Brown lands a good

right to the face of Sudo - Both still in the clinch - both deliver knees to the side - Sudo takes Brown down - 

Brown is able to get back up - both up - Brown takes Sudo down - Brown is in Sudo's guard - Brown in

half-guard now - Brown lands a few punches and is back in Sudo's full guard - Sudo going for a triangle

choke - Brown delivers some lefts to the face of Sudo - Sudo doesn't let go - Brown taps to a Triangle/armbar

combo - replay shows it was an arm bar from the triangle

 

Heavyweight Bout

Jonathon Wiezorek wins by first round TKO over Wade Shipp
