UFC 44 Predictions

This is going to be one of the best UFC’s to date – well, at least if the fights go the way I think there going to.

Lets Start with Caol Uno vs. Hermes Franca:

This fight will not go the distance. I imagine it will end either toward the end of the first round or the beginning

of the second. Uno will come out like always - confusing Franca with his little dance and his awkward style

of fighting. Franca will come in and Uno will try to submit Franca. But Franca will be fresh and will get away.

Uno will wear him down and catch Franca after some punishment - my guess in an arm bar or rear naked

choke. Uno by submission.

Dave Strasser vs. Karo Parisyan:

This should be a great tactical fight. We told you to watch out for this kid - that soon he will make his mark

on the MMA world. I am talking about Parisyan. He has descent striking skills and a  great ground game. I

know that Stresser is a good fighter but I believe that Parisyan will end the fight in the second round after

measuring out Stresser in the first. He will be able to defeat Stresser by TKO. Yes, I said TKO.  How, you

might be asking, will Parisyan defeat Stresser? Parisyan will get the full mount and rain punches until the ref

stepsin and stops the fight.

Rich Franklin vs. Edwin Dewees:

A war that will go the distance. These are two great fighters that won’t give up and both of these fighters

know that each one of them can end the fight in a blink of an eye. Both of these fighters will be real careful

but Dewees will always press his fights and push his opponent till he makes a mistake. Franklin is a smart

and strong fighter - I don’t see him making too many mistakes. I’ll give this one to Dewees by Decision.

Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Andrei Arlovski:

Both fighters will come out strong and swinging leather. But then Arlovski will back up and Matyushenko will

take advantage and follow up with a couple of kicks and then land some great punches that will stun

Arlovski.  Matyushenko will follow up and land more punches that will either KO Arlovski or make the ref stop

the fight.

Tim Sylvia vs. Gan McGee:

Two Giants face off. Sylvia the champ - McGee the challenger. McGee will come out to prove that he

deserves the belt. He will come out aggressive - Sylvia will be calm and countering.  Mcgee will stun Sylvia

but will nott be able to finish him in round one. Round two will see McGee come out strong again to finish

Sylvia but Sylvia will start landing his own punches. The fight will go back and forth till the last round where

Sylvia will land a powerhouse right that will send McGee down and out.

Tito Ortiz vs. Randy Couture:

Two outstanding individuals do battle in the main event. I hate to see any one of these guys lose. They are

both true gentleman outside the ring. I can see this fight going the distance. Both fighters are in great shape.

But it will not go the distance. Couture is mainly a counter fighter but for this fight, he will be aggressive. He

knows he has to win – that means not letting it go to the judges. Tito is an aggressive fighter so both fighters

will collide in this bout.  Ortiz will try to use the ground and pound but Couture is not going to let that happen.

If Ortiz does get Couture down, Couture will be able to get up the first few rounds. I think they’ll be feeling out

rounds. Couture will be able to land some good punches and Ortiz will use his kicks to try to get the

advantage over Couture. Both fighters will put on a battle but in the lasts rounds, Couture will land some

stunning blows and immediately jump on Ortiz - landing punch after punch - the ref will step in and stop the

fight. And we will have a new champ. Oh wait, Couture is the champ or is he?  Well, you know the mix up

and you know what I mean. Couture wins!

  See ya after the fights,

AL
