UFC 42 Thoughts

With the UFC just days away, there are a couple of fights I just can't wait to see.

One of those fights involves Duane "Bang" Ludwig who has trained with one of the greatest names in MMA

- Boss Rutten. At first glance, Ludwig doesn't appear to be an intimidating force but you couldn't be more

wrong. He has learned a lot since his first MMA fight.  He is able to accurately pin point his shots, both

hands and feet. He knows how to generate a lot of power to those points and last but not least, he can

execute more than one or two techniques when they count. He is facing a very tough and awkward opponent

- Genki Sudo. Many people believe that Ludwig is outclassed for this fight but I believe that Ludwig will put

on a show and knock out Sudo.

The other fight involves a fighter we would like to see rise to the top - Romie Aram, who by the way is a local

fighter right here in the San Gabriel Valley, P-Town (Pomona). Aram trains at Millennia Jiu-Jitsu in Pomona

along with Javier Vasquez. Aram has always been a great fighter and has been able to pull out the win even

when the odds were against him. This time he will be facing Dave Strasser. My prediction - I believe Aram

will be able to do to Strasser what he was able to do to Jerry Bohlander  - control him on the ground. While

Aram was not able to submit Bohlander, I think he will be able to submit Strasser .
