UCC Update

For all of you who thought that Duane "Bang'' Ludwig was in over his head at the UCC, guess again.

Ludwig won over UFC veteran ''Little Evil'' Jens Pulver (who is to many considered the #1 lightweight

fighter in the world).

The UCC, a Canadian based MMA event, put this highly anticipated match together. 

Ludwig went in as the underdog but people forgot what a great Thai Boxer he is.  Many felt that he didn't have

the power or the experience that Pulver has and would be dominated by Pulver.  But Ludwig thought

differently.  With experience in KOTC and K1,  Ludwig came out to show the world that he can knock out

anyone in his weight division. 

And that he did just over a minute into the fight. 

Ludwig avoids a left hook from Pulver and delivers his own left hook that puts Pulver down -  but as he goes

down, he tries to shoot.  Too hurt to drive through the shoot,  Ludwig stops the shoot and puts Pulver against

the ropes.  The referee stops the fight to restart them in the center  - Ludwig, tasting the win, delivers a high

left kick that Pulver blocks but Pulver never saw the right cross that followed.

"BANG"

Ludwig connects with that right cross sending Pulver crashing down into the ground and the ropes. 

Ludwig declared the winner
