Tyson in K-1?

Well, the rumors abound. Ever since Mike Tyson entered the ring at K-1 last week, everyone has him fighting by the end of the year in K-1. Rumor is that his people are in negotiation with the K-1 people to set up a possible three-fight deal estimated at $10 million.

No doubt, the main attraction for K-1 would be a Bob Sapp vs. Mike Tyson Super Fight for their December 6, 2003 Grand Prix Final.

Some also have Tyson saying that he wants to fight Ernesto Hoost or Jerome LeBanner first but his little spectacle with Bob Sapp last Friday undoubtedly has K-1 wanting a match between the two.

But three fights for $10 million after clearing that much just for one fight seems implausible but then again, he does need the money.

K-1 seems to be courting Tyson in a serious manner and Tyson needs to re-invent himself since it doesn’t look like he’ll be getting a boxing title bout any time soon. Especially with Lennox Lewis contemplating retirement.

Tyson vs. Sapp - That fight will last all of  20 seconds - after Sapp got rocked by Kimo, can you imagine what it will be like when he gets hit by a Tyson uppercut, body blow or just a solid right hook. Sapp's better off asking for MMA rules because he'll need to take Tyson down if he expects to win. Sapp just doesn't have the experience or skills that Tyson has standing-up.
