TCM VI Recap Combat Dolls Gallery
October 24, 2004 Baby Rock Tijuana, B.C. (Mexico)
This past Sunday night, we had the pleasure of attending Total Combat 6 at Baby Rock. For those who have never been to Baby Rock, it has three levels with virtually no bad seats in the house. It was standing room only and when the stunning Combat Dolls (Alexis, Cassandra, Gracy, Lynn, Marisa, and Rea) came out to do their opening number, the place was rockin', and we mean rockin'. These girls can dance! And when the fights got underway, the fans were treated to some great match-ups filled with action.
Some memorable moments: First off, Much respect goes out to Michael Duffy and Edwin Aguilar who each had their respective opponents in big trouble, and while they were well within their right to drop the hammer down further, they refrained, giving the ref and corners time to stop their respective bouts.
Next, during the Kevin Blackwell and Luis Quintana fight (great fight with some GnP, reversals, etc...), Blackwell scored a beautiful 180 sweep that almost landed Quintana in a rear naked choke (crowd went wild when Blackwell landed the sweep). No doubt, this had to be the move of the night.
Also, the heavyweights put on a great show when George "G-Funk" James and Michael Vandiver came out swinging for the rafters. These guys were banging and the crowd was lovin' it.
But the most memorable moment came in the seventh fight - Ricky Gunz vs. Kendall Grove. Grove put Gunz down with a punch and went for a rear naked choke which landed both men out of the ring. Unfortunately, Gunz looked like he injured his shoulder and could not continue although the people around us wanted more as they were really enjoying the fight.
And the beautiful ring girl, Veronica, kept the crowd on on their toes in-between rounds while the Combat Dolls did the same in-between fights.
It was a great night for all in attendance and for those who missed out, they are hoping to put on another show in January, so if you want to start off the new year with a bang, you have to go check out their next event.
