This
event was a great example of what martial arts is all about. The sportsmanship
was first class and all
the
competitors showed tremendous heart. Special Props go out to Leo Zapata who
read on the Sherdog
forum
about this event and decided to come on down and try his luck even though he
hadn't had any formal
training
in many years. And it was during Leo's bout that the class
of all the teams especially showed
because
Zapata came alone but he had plenty of people helping him
by shouting instructions to
him. And
after
his bout, the guys from DelaO Jiu-Jitsu went over to him and told
him that he did well and that he was
welcome
to come train with them anytime he wanted - that's why this
is such a great sport -
because of the
people.
And this is pretty much how all the bouts went, with teams
congratulating teams and the like.
As I
stated
before, the sportsmanship was first class. And the
crowd was superb! If you get a chance to go to
the
next one, GO!
You'll see and meet a lot of Great people!
We'll also have some interviews we did up by
tomorrow
