Ozzy
Fregoso (Submission Factory)
DON:
I’m here with Ozzy Fregoso – Ozzy, how do you feel?
Ozzy:
I feel great… I feel great after my fight. It was actually just a
grappling match and it was a last minute
thing, and I did very well. The guy is very experienced and I’ve only
been doing this for about four
months and I feel great.
DON:
So you came in on short notice
Ozzy:
Short notice, yeah. I didn’t think I was going to end up doing anything
today. I was actually here as a
spectator for my school but they were short fighters so they ask me to do
it, it was a pleasure.
DON:
You train with Larry Landless?
Ozzy:
I train with Larry Landless
DON:
Do you plan on competing again?
Ozzy:
Definitely, in two weeks I’m going to be here. Once again, I’ve only
been doing this for four months.
I’m going to train a year and see where I’m at... MMA all the
way...this is what I like, this is what I do,
I'll see where this takes me.
DON:
We look forward to seeing you in the future. Ozzy, Thank you.
Ozzy:
Thank you.
Ewee
Goglia (DelaO Jiu-Jitsu)
DON:
I’m here with one of our competitors today, Ewee, how do you feel
and how did you feel about the
event?
Ewee:
Good, I felt good. It was nice to come out and get a feel for everything.
I don’t do any striking
tournaments... I’ve done one, this is my second one, I was a little
nervous but I felt good.
DON:
What did you think of your opponent?
Ewee:
He was pretty good. I saw him warning up and it looked like he was going
to kick me in the head so I
just came out strong and confident, not trying to hide from a kick or
anything...so I just came out
with my "A" game...came ready to fight.
DON:
Are you planning to come to the next event?
Ewee:
Hopefully, if I get an invitation. I got an invitation for this one so if
they keep inviting me, I’ll keep
coming.
DON:
Who are you training with?
Ewee:
I’m training with John DelaO.
DON:
Thank You for coming.
Ewee:
Thanks.
Mark
Lehner (DelaO Jiu-Jitsu)
DON:
I’m here with Mark Lehner, Mark, how do you feel?
Mark:
I feel good, I had fun today. I’m a little out of shape but I’m
working on getting back into shape right
now.
DON:
What was your game plan going in?
Mark:
I really didn’t have a game plan, I
just wanted to come in... I was expecting a Pancrase match but I
ended up doing a grappling match but
that was cool. I just wanted to come out here and do
something today.
DON:
Have you grappled before?
Mark:
Yeah, I’ve done a couple of grappling tournaments in the past. I did
Grapplers Quest and one of the
Machado's tournaments several months ago. It went well.
DON:
Are you planning to come back to the next event?
Mark:
I’m going to try, it all depends on my work schedule. I’d like to come
as often as I can.
DON:
We look forward to seeing you again. Thank You.
Mark:
Thank You
Richard
Martinez (Shark Tank)
DON:
I’m here with Richard Martinez, How do you feel Richard?
Richard:
I feel good. It was fun.
DON:
Did you have a game plan going in there?
Richard:
Yeah, my trainer told me to try to keep it up and not go to the ground,
try to stand-up, so that’s
basically what it is.
DON:
You train with …
Richard: Jay Martinez
DON: Jay Martinez from Shark Tank
Richard:
Yes
DON: What did you think of the event?
Richard:
I liked it. It was a nice, cool environment. Everybody is cool, everybody
is nice. All the fighters
get along.
DON:
Did you enjoy the other fights?
Richard:
Yeah, I enjoyed the other fights.
DON: What did you think of your opponent?
Richard:
I didn’t really have a chance to see him but he was cool. I talked to
him before and he put up a
pretty good match.
DON: Thanks for coming
Richard:
Thank You
George
Renteria (DelaO Jiu-Jitsu)
DON:
I’m here with George Renterria,
George, how do you feel?
George:
I feel good. I was a little nervous at first but I talk to John, my
trainer, John DelaO, he calmed me
down, told me that you ‘ve been training real hard for this...to go out
there and give it all you got...
after that, punch it through, felt great.
DON:
Did you know anything about your opponent?
George:
I knew he was a kickboxer, it really didn’t worry me too much, we’ve
gone up against kickboxers
before and done really well against them.
DON:
Thanks for coming
George: Thanks
