March 6th will feature the much anticipated rematch between former super featherweight world champions

Joel Casamayor (30-1, 19 KO's) and Diego Corrales (37-2, 31 KO's).

In their last bout (October, 2003), both of these guys hit the canvas and came back and battled like

warriors. Casamayor came out the victor when the doctor stopped the fight because of cuts (among other

things) inside the mouth of Corrales even though he wanted to continue.

Casamayor defended his WBA title six times before losing it to Acelino Freitas by unanimous decision

back in January of 2002. Since then, he has won his last four (three by TKO including his fight with

Corrales).

Corrales, former IBF champ,  has third round TKO wins over Derrick "Smoke" Gainer back in March of

2000 and Angel Manfredy back in September of 2000. His other loss was at the hands of Floyd

Mayweather Jr. back in January of 2001 when his corner threw in the towel in the 10th round. Corrales

was on a four fight win streak, three by TKO and one by KO before losing to Casamayor.
