S1 - Sumo GP Tournament 2004

Wow - You won't believe who participated

Sportsnavi is reporting that a Sumo event, S1: Sumo GP tournament 2004,  was held in Japan yesterday

that involved the likes of boxers turned kickboxers turned Sumo wrestlers Butterbean and Frans Botha,

Bob Sapp (third event in as many days - K-1, Wrestling and now Sumo), and even the "Big Daddy" himself,

Gary Goodridge.

 

The event took place on a mat shaped like an octagon with four huge padded pillars on four corners (for

pictures: http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/fight/k1/column/200403/at00000065.html). No winners were

announced. The event will be shown on Japanese TV (TBS) on April 13th. We can't wait to see who won.
