 K-1 \ Pancrase - Boxing

 

 

South Korea - K-1 & Pancrase

Sportsnavi reported yesterday that K-1 and Pancrase will be holding events in South Korea on July 17th.

Akebono is expected to make his third appearance on the July 17th K-1 card. As for the Pancrase card,

current Open weight King of Pancrase Champion Josh Barnett, 2nd ranked Super Heavyweight Ron

Waterman, 4th ranked Super Heavyweight Tim Lajcik, 5th ranked Light Heavyweight Daisuke

Watanabeand recent Pancrase newcomer Hur Sung Jin are all expected to compete. Barnett is

expected to defend his title on the card. Tim Lajcik is a possible opponent for Barnett and Ron Waterman is

hoping for a fight with Barnett as he has issued a challenge to the open weight champion as well.

WBA Super Bantamweight Title

Mahyar Monshipour (25-2-2, 16 KO's) wins by eight round TKO over Salim Medjkoune (43-5-1, 21 KO's) 

- Monshipour retains title
