- New Mexico: Mark Kerr is still scheduled to make his return to the fight game at Last Man Standing Championship on September 5, 2003. His opponent is scheduled to be Aaron Brink. Also scheduled to be on the card is "Big Daddy" Gary Goodridge. He's scheduled to fight Andre "Chief" Roberts, who you may know from Superbrawl, in a rematch. Goodridge won the first outing at UFC XIX. But maybe Goodridge would be better suited to sit this one out after his loss at Pride. The event is scheduled to be carried live on Pay-Per-View.

- WBA Featherweight Champ Derrick "Smoke" Gainer injured himself and will not be boxing this coming Saturday on HBO. In his place, Juan Manuel Marquez, the IBF Featherweight Champion, will take on Marcos Licona in a 10 round bout.
