On Dec. 7,  2002,  The K-1 World Championship\takes place. Semmy Schilt was schedule to fight Bob

Sapp but Schilt injured his left shoulder so he will be out for at least one month. Replacing him will be

Ernesto Hoost. Here is Hoost's second chance at Bob Sapp. Sapp advanced to the finals by defeating

Hoost last October. We will see if Hoost learned anything from there last encounter. Can Hoost put it

together against the 6'8'', solid 350+ Sapp?

Boxing - Mia St. John and Christy Martin will fight each other on December 6, 2002. St. John is the IBA

Champion and Martin is the WBC Champion in different weight classes. St. John is giving up about 20

pounds to Martin. Looks like Martin didn't want any piece of Kathy Long.

Fernando Vargas was fined $100,000 and suspended from boxing until June of 2003 last week for testing

positive for  Stanozolol, a banned steroid after the De La Hoya fight.
