Lewis To Retire?

According to BBC Radio Five Live, WBC heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis (41-2-1, 32 KO's) will hold a

press conference on Friday to announce his retirement. The 38 year old champion has been contemplating

his future since his lucky....ah...since his sixth round TKO victory over Vitali Klitschko (33-2, 32 KO's) last

June 21st (2003).  Klitschko has been wanting and asking for a rematch since his loss to Lewis due to a

doctor stoppage from a bad cut. Most felt Klitschko was winning until the stoppage. This will leave the title

vacant and we will probably see Klitschko fight the # 2 ranked Corrie Sanders (39-2, 29 KO's) for the belt.

Sanders defeated Vitali's brother Wladimir in his last bout in March of 2003 by second round TKO.
