Larry Landless Update

We've received many e-mails over the past couple of weeks asking us if Larry was still refereeing or if he was going to become a full-time fighter.

Well, we decided to put these questions to Larry while we were at his Pancrase event on Sunday and he

graciously spent some time with us and gave us the 411 (information) on what's going on with him.

The biggest question everyone seems to want to know is if Larry is still a ref - and the answer is, kind of.

Larry will be refereeing in Guam in May but has no plans after that. He wants to take time to be able to fight.

And since he is an active fighter, NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) doesn't want a active fighter to

be refereeing so that's why Larry wasn't at this past UFC on April 2nd. Instead, Larry recommended Herb

Dean for the job that he would normally do and Herb got the position and as usual, did a great job.  Larry

has basically decided that at least for now, to take a short break from refereeing after some 500+ bouts to

see where is fighting career will take him.

Larry's next fight is tentatively scheduled for May (2004).

But Larry has plenty to keep him busy (besides running his school and training and holding referee seminars

like the one he just did for the Calgary Boxing Commission in Canada), Larry has his beginners Pancrase

tournaments that he will be holding at his Submission Factory on a bi-weekly basis for those up-and-comers

who are looking for some experience in a great atmosphere.

The next Beginners Pancrase tournament will be Sunday, April 18th. For more information or directions,

TheFightGame.tv would like to Thank Mr. Landless for all the hospitality we were shown at his Submission

Factory on Sunday and we wish him the best in his endeavors.

Oh, and one last thing, for those who asked if Larry still has his hair blonde, the answer is yes.
