A little K-1 news:

- K-1 USA reports that a press conference was held yesterday for Fridays "Battle at the Bellagio II" and that

Super Fight opponents Bob Sapp and Tommy Glanville got into some heated words but order was

restored by officials after a few tables overturned.

- The WBA (World Boxing Association) is reporting in a Spanish article that boxing heavyweight legend

Muhammad Ali will be a presenter at Fridays K-1 event.

- The WBA article also states that former IBF Cruiserweight champion Vassily Jirov (33-2, 29 KO's) and

former IBA Americas Jr. Middleweight champion Julio Garcia will be in attendance. Garcia is a possible

opponent for Masato in October when K-1 returns to Las Vegas.

- The article went on to say that K-1 is in a hurry to finalize an opponent for Mike Tyson as they need three

months prior to the date the fight is set to negotiate with the Pay-Per-view providers.

- And now the juicy stuff - the New York Daily News a few days ago had Mike Tyson "tentatively" facing

heavyweight boxer Kevin McBride (34-4-1, 26 KO's) in a boxing match in July on a K-1 card. The WBA

article states that Tyson will fight on a July 31st K-1 card (opponent and place not set yet) and that K-1

has limited the opponents Tyson could face to three - It will be either Bob SappJerome LeBanner,

or Akebono. Now, Tyson has stated several names of boxers that he would like to face but K-1 insists

that they will choose his opponent and that it will be a K-1 fighter and not a boxer. K-1 is adamant about

  that. The saga continues...

- One last thing, K-1 is also interested in developing a fight for undefeated Super Middleweight boxer Laila

   Ali (16-0, 13 KO's), Muhammad Ali's daughter.
