K1 / Pride / UFC Connection
This past Sunday, two Pride fighters and one former UFC fighter stepped into the ring to test the waters of the kick boxing tournament K1 held in Japan.
First off, "Big Daddy" Gary Goodridge, who you may remember from the early UFC's and current Pride fighter, fought Musashi to a five round draw.
Next, Pride veteran Tom Erikson fought Hiromi Amada. Erikson wasn't as fortunate as Goodridge as he was knocked out in the fourth round.
And Fan favorite and former kick boxing champion Maurice Smith also made an appearance as he battled Tsuyoshi. Smith won a three round decision. You may best remember Smith from his UFC days when he defeated Mark Coleman.
