K-1 Update

K-1 has announced who will be Bob Sapp's opponent in the super fight on August 15, 2003 at "Battle of the Bellagio" in Las Vegas, Nevada.

His opponent will be Kimo Leopoldo. The UFC and Pride veteran is coming off a spectacular win in UFC 43 with a submission win (choke) over David "Tank" Abbott.

Kimo has fought in K-1 once before, back in the mid-nineties, but looked horrible and gassed out quickly and got knocked out.

But since then, Kimo has been practicing his stand-up game as well as his ground game and you can expect a different Kimo. He proved he was different (better) at UFC 43.

Can Sapp ( 6' 3" 375 lbs.) bully Kimo ( 6' 2" 250 lbs.) with his strength and size?

If Kimo can utilize his speed and pace himself and remember that he is in a kickboxing match and not a NHB match, he could pull of an upset.
