In Memoriam

Paul Castelloni

I just now found out my opponent from my Dec. 6th KOTC bout has passed away. Paul Castelloni was an

honorable person. He did his best and like any other person that steps in the cage, deserves not only my

respect but everyone else's. I hardly had much to say to him. He was very cordial and came up to me before

the fight and introduced himself to me. He looked me in the eye and said, "Despite who wins, let's have a

beer when it is all over." I regret to say that I missed that opportunity. After the match, I gave him a hug and

wished him well in all he chooses to do. Fighting is not about hard feelings to me. It is fun. I am told that

match meant a lot to him. It takes two to make a fight. That night, we fought. When it was all over, I got

caught up in the moment. It was my first fight and I had my whole family there. I never saw or spoke to him

again. We never had that drink. Somehow, I thought we would cross paths again. He lived in Vegas and

trained at my cousins gym. I ask that we all say a toast and share a drink to a brave man that lived a dream

and dared the cage.  Let's all toast a cool dude and not take life for granted.

Thank you,

Larry Landless
