In Memoriam

On  January 24, 2003 the fighting world lost another son.

Scott Wood of San Antonio, Texas died of a blood clot to the lung after participating in a Toughman event on

January 4th in Michigan that landed him in the hospital.

Scott Wood was 31 years of age and leaves behind three young children.

TheFightGame.tv sends its sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Wood and his friends.

Shortly after winning his Toughman bout on January 4th, Wood fell unconscious and was hospitalized.

His recovery was going well before he suffered the blood clot.

According to his friend and fighting partner,  Heath Payne:

"Wood wasn't your average Toughman fighter. The January 4th bout was actually his last fight before he was

planning on going pro.  He had been working with professional trainers and fighters. He had actually had his

first pro fight scheduled in November but injured his hand in a previous Toughman fight here in San Antonio in

October and had to cancel the pro fight."

Payne is planning on fighting in the final 64 tournament that Toughman is conducting and is trying to raise

money to help Wood's children.

If you would like to help Mr. Payne, please e-mail us here at thefightgame.tv and we'll forward your message

to him.
