IFC: GLOBAL DOMINATION

WORLD CAGE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 

 Denver, CO - 7:00PM
September 6th, 2003  

Pride isn't the only organization holding an eight man single elimination tournament this year. The IFC is

planning an eight man light heavyweight tournament this September 6, 2003 in Denver, Colorado with the

winner walking away with the IFC light heavyweight title.

Expected to participate in the light heavyweight tournament are UFC veteran Renato “Babalu” Sobral,

Pride veteran Paulo Filho, Pride/UFC/KOTC veteran Jeremy Horn, Super Brawl/UFC veteran Falaniko

Vitale, local Mike Van Arsdale, Trevor Prangley, from Russia Michail Avetisyan, and Shogun. 

The Light heavyweight title was vacated by Chuck Liddell due to prior commitments but is expected to

return to challenge for the title at a later date.

There will also be a Women’s IFC World Middleweight Championship bout featuring Amanda Buckner plus

for other world class bouts to round out the card.
