This Saturday night, HBO will present an IBF light heavyweight title bout between champion Glengoffe

Johnson and the IBF 5th ranked light heavyweight Roy Jones Jr. Also on the telecast, HBO will present a

re-broadcast of last weeks Bernard Hopkins vs. Oscar De La Hoya fight.

IBF Light heavyweight champ Glengoffe Johnson is coming off a win in his last bout over Clinton Woods in

February on this year (winning the IBF title). Johnson has been in with some tough fighters such as Bernard

Hopkins (loss via KO in '97),  Sven Ottke (loss via dec. in '99), Syd Vanderpool (loss via dec. in '00),

Julio Cesar Gonzalez (loss via 10 Rd Dec. in '03) and Eric Harding (Win via dec. in '03). Eight of

Johnson's nine losses have come by decision. In his second to last bout, Johnson fought Clinton Woods to a

draw on November of 2003 for the vacant IBF light heavyweight title.

Roy Jones Jr., the former undisputed light heavyweight champion, is coming off a second round knockout

loss to Antonio Tarver in May of this year. It was only Jones. Jr. second loss, although a strong argument

can be made that it was his first true loss. Jones Jr. has fought many of the same fighters as Johnson, such

as Bernard Hopkins (win via dec. in '93), Eric Harding (win via TKO in '00), Julio Cesar Gonzalez (win via dec.

in '01), and Clinton Woods (win via TKO in '02).
