Juan Manuel Marquez (51-6, 45 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Orlando Salido (20-9-1, 13 KO's) -

Judges scored it 117-111, 117-111, 118-110 - Marquez retains title

WBA \ WBC \ IBF \ WBO Middleweight Title Bout (12 Rds)
Bernard Hopkins (45-2-1, 32 KOs) wins by knockout at 1:32 of the 9th round over Oscar De La Hoya

(37-4, 29 KOs) - Hopkins retains his titles and wins the WBO middleweight title.

Going into the ninth round, we had it scored a draw with nothing overwhelming to speak of but De La Hoya

was starting to look a bit tired. Then, about half way through the 9th round, Hopkins lands a great left hook to

the body that drops De la Hoya (who looked to be in some pain). De La Hoya tried to get up but to no avail.

Hopkins becomes undisputed middleweight champion. I've learned one thing from this fight - whatever my

prediction is for a De La Hoya fight, expect the opposite.
