Barrera vs. Pacquiao

Marco Antonio Barrera is back in action this coming Saturday. He'll be going up against the former WBC Flyweight and current IBF Jr. featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao on HBO championship boxing.

 

Barrera's last fight was in April of this year when he defeated former WBC featherweight champion Kevin Kelley by way of fourth round TKO. Barrera, known as The "Baby Face Assassin," is looking to prove that he is the true champion of his division.

 

Manny Pacquiao, better known as "Pac Man," is moving up in weight for the third time. His last bout was a Jr. Featherweight title bout in which he won a third round TKO over Emmanuel Lucero in July of this year.

 

Both Barrera and Pacquiao have power. The key for this bout will be if Pacquiao can carry his power up one more weight class and hurt Barrera (who many believe is the best fighter in the division). If he can, it should be a great fight. If not, look for a short nights work for Barrera.

 

Also on the under card, former super featherweight champ Jesse James Leija will be in action.
