FCFN 3 Line-up
November 13, 2004 South Parade Pier Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK Doors open 5.30pm - Fights Start 7pm
Special Thanks go out to Ian Dean and Cagewarriors.com for the following information:
FCFN - No frills, No bling and No bull. Just a night of quality mixed fight action from the south coast's most popular fight show All Fights are 100% REAL and FULL CONTACT
The 3rd installment of the popular Full Contact Fight Night series is a little over 3 weeks away and is selling out fast. Don't miss out on the biggest MMA event on the south coast, as for the 3rd time in a row Darrin Richardson and Grant Waterman have put on a main event that is worthy of any major Cage show. As top lightweight contenders Dave “Speedy” Elliot and Dave Roche will finally face off against each other in Portsmouth’s South Parade Pier.
Dave "Speedy" Elliot (6-3-0) is an experienced MMA star from Gracie Barra Newcastle who is known for his slick BJJ game and is on a 2 fight win streak after defeating both Pilly San (at Cage Rage 7 in July) and Andy Meila (at Goshin Ryu 10 in October) in under a minute.
Elliot takes on Dave Roche (2-0-0) the much hyped Irishman from SBG Dublin. This bout was originally scheduled for Cage Rage 7 in July; however a freak car accident forced Roche out and also caused him to miss his Cagewarriors Lightweight title bout against Gerald Strebendt (who beat Elliot back in May).
Roche has been highly touted by UK MMA insiders for a long time and showed a glimpse of his striking and submission skill when he defeated Gavin Bradley in under a minute at Cagewarriors 7 in May. However a series of injuries and mishaps have hindered Roche’s progress. However in the intense atmosphere of the South Parade Pier Portsmouth these 2 top crossed trained athletes will finally get it on in this eagerly awaited bout between 2 of the UK's scene's best Lightweight fighters.
The other featured attraction is a welterweight clash featuring the former Cagewarriors Welterweight Champion and current Cage Rage Welterweight Champion Paul "Hands of Stone" Jenkins. (24-19-3) as he battles against Danny Fletcher (2-0-1) in a fight which was originally due to take place at Cage Rage 8. However due to unfortunate last minute circumstances this fight did not happen; however the FCFN promotion team are proud to announce that they managed to score a big coup in securing this match up for their November 13th card.
As always FCFN also promises to deliver a plethora of exciting mixed fight action which features a mix of young up and coming amateur and semi-pro MMA fighters stars like Jordan Miller (2-0 in FCFN MMA action) along with FCFN's now trademark UK1 stand-up fight action, which features the best in UK hybrid kickboxing.
