MMA Brasil Productions is bringing to Brazil a new concept in martial arts - It's a new set of rules that

demand from the competitors knowledge in all aspects of combative sports. Similar rules have been used in

Japan for the past 12 years, but have never been brought to Brazil. These rules allow fighters to use throws,

striking and grappling but, at the same time, they have the goal to keep fighters away from serious injuries

usually related to regular mma events.

Our main goal is to make the sport acceptable to the general society, and with that in mind, we made some

adjustments to the regular mma rules usually found in Brazilian events:

1 - We took away all the aspects of extreme violence usually associated with mma. Under our rules, the

following is prohibited: Headbutts, elbow strikes, strikes directed to the spine, back of the head, eyes, groin,

kicks to the head when the opponent is on all fours and punches to the face and head on the ground.

2 - The reorganization of the time format of ground fighting, making them faster and more dynamic. Once on

the ground, fighters have 20 seconds to take initiative - in case that no one takes it, the fight will come back

standing. In case someone does take initiative in the 20 seconds, the fight will continue on the ground for a

period of up to 2 minutes at a time - passed the 2 minutes, the athletes will be raised and the fight will

recommence standing.

Besides the changes in the rules, we will be trying to educate the public on the fascinating world of the

martial arts. Before every event, the referees will make a visual presentation of the rules used in the

occasion, so that the public is completely aware what will be presented to them in the sequence.

With these differences, we hope to be able to attract a new public to our events and to inform them on the

sport, with the intention of changing the image currently associated with the sport.

Besides the fights under our regulation of mma, we will give the possibility of fighters to present themselves

in two other ways - Submission and Muay-Thai.

Fights: 13 fights total - divided in three 4-man tournaments with one alternative fight and a Muay Thai

super-fight with the campineiro Daniel Caporossi. The tournaments will be the following:

- Muay-Thai up to 73kgs (161 lbs)

- Submission up to 83kgs (183 lbs)

- MMA up to 93kgs (205 lbs)

Fight Card participating teams include: Ruas Vale-Tudo, Liberi-Gracie Barra, Barbosa JJ, André Gomes

Team, Tozi JJ, Nakashima Academy and Magno team among many others.

Gates open : 6:00 PM

Fights Start : 7:00 PM
