With a little over two weeks to go, the rematch between Oscar De La Hoya and "Sugar" Shane Mosley looms .... ah, who am I kidding, this fight bores me.
Why does it bore me?
Well, I really don't want to see De La Hoya avenge his loss to Mosley when Mosley is coming of a no contest in his last bout (opponent cut from headbutt) and two losses previous to that.
Not a glowing endorsement for a rematch bout.
Sure, Mosley is a good boxer but I would rather see him gather his bearings with some tune-up fights, then fight for a title. Preferably against WBC welterweight champ Ricardo Mayorga (26-3-1, 23 KO's). Then I would have like to seen a rematch between Fernando Vargas (23-2, 21 KO's) and De La Hoya. And if Mosley and De La Hoya both won those bouts, then I would have like to seen the rematch between the two. But that's just me.- SN
