(As of July 31, 2004) Cagerwarriors.com received a call today from Cage Rage Co-Promoter Dave

O'Donnell, telling us that the much anticipated showdown between UK star and UFC 46 veteran Lee

Murray and the Pride Veteran Anderson Silva is still on, despite reports to the contrary.

Dave O'Donnell said that a lot of people don't want to see this fight that will make Murray a star, and he

cannot believe the negative press this announcement received on the forums.  Furthermore he asks that “if

Silva is fighting on K-1, which card is he on?   As he is not on the August 7th card in the US, and isn't on the

Japanese Final Elimination Card in September.”

O'Donnell also revealed that he is now awaiting news from Silva, who has the contract with him now, and that

final confirmation will be due very soon.

Also revealed today is the brand new promo poster for the main event and the latest card for the 11th

September show.
