WBC Light Heavyweight Title Eliminator (12 Rds)

Paul Briggs (23-1, 17 KOs) wins a unanimous decision (115-109, 117-105, 113-109) over Stipe Drews

(26-1, 12 KO's) - Drews down three times (twice in the sixth) and was penalized three points for kneeing,

putting Briggs in a headlock and head butting. Briggs now becomes the WBC # 1 contender and will have a

mandatory bout against the WBC champion Antonio Tarver (possibly in December).

 

IBF Pan Pacific Jr. Welterweight Title Bout (vacant)

Lovemore Ndou (39-7-1, 25 KOs) wins by fifth round TKO over Ruben Diaz (13-8-1, 4 KOs) - Diaz unable

to continue after fifth because of a possible broken rib - Ndou wins IBF Pan Pacific title
