4th American International Championships
Saturday December 6th & Sunday December 7th, 2003 Costa
Mesa High School
If you're a fight fan, then December 6th is your day. But if you love to participate, then December 6th just got a lot better. The 4th American International Championships of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will be held that day in Costa Mesa, California. Among the many highlights of the tournament is an 8-man Black Belt Gi division which already has confirmed participants Ryron Gracie, Renner Gracie, Cassio Werneck, & Jamie Cruz. There will also be Black Belt Super Fights featuring Carlos Machado, Wander Braga, James Boran, Rey Diogo, & Ed Keller. In addition, there will be an 8-women No-Gi absolute division featuring Leka Viera, Gazzy Parman, Amanda Buckner, Leonor Avellan, Cindy Magdelena, & Felicia Oh (who are already confirmed).
Competitors fee: One event (Gi or No-Gi Grappling): Men, Women & Kids $40 Two events (Gi and No-Gi Grappling): Men, Women & Kids $60
Doors open at 7 a.m. for coaches, volunteers, competitors, and sponsors Doors open 9 a.m. to the public Rules meeting at 10:15 a.m. Competition begins at 10:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is due by Wednesday, December 3, 2003. Late registration will be subject to a $20 late fee.
All competitors are required to check-in before 9:00 a.m. the day of their registered event in order to post the brackets and make the accurate time schedule.
Weigh-ins will be held the evening before the event between the the hours of 6-10 p.m. at the tournament hotel (Hotel Huntington Beach. 7667 Center Avenue, Huntington Beach, California 92647). You may also weigh-in on the morning of the event between 7-9 a.m.
